I am nixing my cable service and am exploring options such as Boxee and Roku to replace it. I am not internet savvy (but can get around), do not use social media, don't have the patience for YouTube and other clip sites, and am not a movie watcher (no use for Netflix). I am strictly looking to watch full length shows and sports (live, if possible). Does Boxee fit the bill?

I have heard about a Flash issue that limits the ability to watch some content. Does this issue effect tv show or sports streaming?

Of course, I am looking for the largest availability of free channels, shows, sports, etc. My aim is to NOT have to establish pay subscriptions to get satisfactory choices.
