Not able to log in to my Mac on Boxee (SMB)

We got Boxee d-link, and before i always watched series and movies on Boxee. By sharing my files to Boxee,and clicking on Windows network (SBM) and just clicking on the name of my mac and watch my files.. But today when i was about to watch a serie, i had to log in to my macbook, username and password and i've never needed to do that before.and i've tried SO many times, my username on my mac and password..And i can't get in, and i have no idea what's wrong. We've tried different things to fix it but still not working.

I also just updated my mac. Version 10.8.8
When i tried AFP instead of SMB it actually worked.. But not on SMB? Does anyone know what's wrong?.. I was thinking if maby my username was wrong, but its just my name and last name, that's what it say on my mac..

Well, it sounds like an update on your Mac b0rked Boxee's ability to connect to your Mac via SMB.

If AFP is working, why not stick with that?

Hmm yeah probably it.. I'm going to stick with it..but at first i thought it was really weird that it didn't work via SMB...Oh well..i guess it's okay
