    Default Apple/Android remote without TV

    Hi Boxee's

    Is there an app for iPad or Android that can remote a BoxeeBox without having the TV turned on ?

    What I'm looking for is an app the can remote the BoxeeBox connected to my stereo, so I can select mp3 music-files from my NAS, and listen to the music on my stereo, without turning the TV on.

    All the remote's I have found so far, only controls the BoxeeBox on the TV-screen. So in order to listen to music on my stereo through the BoxeeBox, I have to turn on my TV. Not so nice

    You can do this with AirPlay on iOS devices using either the native music player or other audio/music apps (on the Boxee Box, go to Settings>>Network>>Servers and enable iOS streaming). There is also this android app: http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=42336

    Our Android app, amo Boxee Remote Control can control your Boxee while your TV is off. You are able to Browse your Music collection, and run playlists (m3u's) all while the TV is off.

    I tried the AirPlay from my iPad, to the BoxeeBox and out on my stereo.
    The quality was quite bad compared to the very good quality of playing music with the BoxeeBox music-player.

    I haven't tried the Amo Remote yet.

    I did try...did not work for me. Unable to retrieve my music from external storage.

    I actually talked to Leo and his issue was that his Music drive/share was not setup properly on the Boxee Box side (needed a username/pwd).

    He sent me an email letting me know a Boxee Remote was working as expected. Thanks Leo.
