Boxee aborts playing from time to time

I'm having really annoying issues.

Current Setup:

- Boxee connected via ethernet (100 mbit/s)
- Fritz!Box 6360 Cable (router)
- MacBook Pro via WiFi (802.11n; 130 mbit/s)

Boxee fetches the movies / series via an AFP share from my MBP and is connected by HDMI to my TV.

My router is in the same room and only ~2 meters away.


My main problem: 720p movies and series are aborting randomly and I thought it could be something with a Wifi idle mode (if this even exists) or the Boxee is overheathing somehow (the case feels cold though).

The movie I played today looked good for about an hour and then the router OR the Boxee crashed and killed the other device too. Both, the router and my Boxee weren't available anymore and I had to restart both.

Directly after the movie I watched some series. Also from my AFP share on my MBP. which crashed / lost connection every ~15 minutes.

I'm not able to connect my MBP to the BB via Ethernet which was the reason why I bought it.

Any ideas how I can fix this, or anyone else with the same problems?

Wish I had an answer for you but lately I've been getting "abortions" on just about all of my DVD rips on drives physically attached to the box via USB. It's maddening beyond belief. I already need to patch a section of drywall because I launched the remote at the box and missed after The Rum Diary quit 80 minutes in. Boxee will not see the attached drive until both the drive and box are restarted. The wife needles me by saying that she enjoys this "intermission" feature as it let's her use the restroom and get a snack.

Nobody else? Everything looked good today for about 30 minutes and then -> movie stopped playing and Boxee told me, it cannot access anymore.

Still the same setup. Boxee via ethernet; Macbook via Wifi (802.11n); AFP share; 720p movie.

All I can say is I too have had this happen from time to tome. Pretty sporadic too. Sometimes would happen after 15mins, or 20mins while watching a TV show or movie.

I have had no fix as of yet. I guess there aren't enough people with this problem for anyone to help out.
