Just a quick note to say (so far) installing this has been been a piece of piss.
Downloaded Unbuntu 8.10 (ballistic-speed from http://ubuntu.virginmedia.com/releases/intrepid/ thanks Virgin!)
Easy to install, nothing 'weird' there. Great installation!
Followed your instructions to get boxee on onto it. Perfectly written, and to the point.
It's installing now.
So a quick 'congrats' to everyone who's built this, from a partial Linux n00b, Windows user who doesn't want the hassle of a Windows Media Centre
