Boxee Box and NFS (weird problem)
Just wondering why NFS on Boxee Box doesn't work when no internet connection?
Noticed last night when my internet connection was down, i tried to watch a film and when i went to movies and clicked the film i wanted to watch just gave the blue circle spinning thingy for a while and a pop up said that the file/path not there (something like that not sure exactly what it said). So i tried from file, browse and i chose smb and it was working fine?
Just wondering why it wouldn't access my files with NFS when there's no internet connection?

My best only guess is that it was not losing the internet that did this, but perhaps your router. One way to test would be to simply switch off the modem (assuming your modem and router are not one device) and see what happens.

If i couldn't access my files via SMB i can understand it might be the router but i managed to watch a film by accessing it via files --> Browse and my source. My network setup: Modem/Router -- 5 port Switch (1 port going to the router for internet connection and the others Boxee, PS3, NAS, PC).
I just don't understand at all how NFS not working when the internet was down. I tried again once the internet came back on and was fine.

I was thinking along the lines of a protocol/port problem.
