BB and online mov files
when will BB be able to play online mov files? It's funny how it can play your own mov files but doesn't play online files.
Anyone know anything about this???

Online mov files I assume would be using the outdated Quicktime plugin so no I think it safe to say Boxee Box wont be playing those as it is a plugin needed for a web browser.

Um no it's not remotely you could have just started a separate thread instead.
Your videos wont play because they are mov files from way back using the old Sorenson codec (see the Quicktime 3 comment in mediainfo) & MACE audio. Mov is Apple's legacy container holding all the old and propitiatory formats they used over the years, the more recent H.263 and H.264 in mov will play on Boxee.
Feed the files into Handbrake to generate playable video.

Thanks for explanation Rustycar! I was scratching my head for quite a few evenings on that! I'll give HandBrake a try tonight!
Thanks!
