    Default Constructive Criticism

Who had the epiphany of doing a graphics overhaul on the bbox typing UI before thinking of how user friendly it would be.
This thing is almost un-usable, when you type text, you cant see it as its so washed out with all the shading down and I'm 12 feet away from the TV.
Does anyone relative to boxee know the cardinal rule of designing an interface is 1st to make it as easily legible as possible. Have any of these people ever thought about Black Type as you may find that its much easier to READ ! (and looks cleaner too). This pillow cloud look went the way of wooden light bulb and the square wheel.
Not all of us have eagle vision. Anyway this post will probably get me in some s*^# but someone's got to say something. Please any fanny kisser's, brown noser's or suckup's, get a ticket and wait in line before chewing my a**, as 'OSHA' (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) law may require me to install hand rails and safety straps first.

Don't get me all wrong here, as I really like what they did with the overall organization of the interface, its just you always want as much contrast as possible graphic wise on an interface (Especially where text is concerned) to make it as legible and easy to use as possible, its well known that a dark background with light text is optimum for the eyes to see. They should have at least had black text with white box for the search and any type in boxes. Seems they have someone who wants to please themselves and not someone who wants functionality for all. (I can not even see that light gray text color there using on a white search box in the browser).

The best solution I can think of is to have user configurable skins.

Then everyone can customise their UI experience to their heart's content.

Wonder if it will ever happen. *places bet on "not in this lifetime" option*

    Default large font please

I too think that the fonts in some locations are far to small and hard to read.
