Volume control

Hi there,

When i first bought the Boxee there was a volume control on it by pressing the up and down on the remote during playback of a movie.

After the very first update I ever got, this was GONE, and I havent seen it since...

I might come across silly, but where is the volume control in the current firmware, its certainly not ' intuitive' anymore ??

I think there's an option in the setttings, to allow audio volume control where possible. Check that option and the audio volume can usually then be controlled mid movie/ video by using the remote up/ down directional.

This works unless you want volume control on MKV/AC3 video content plugged into S-PDIF

Then you are right out of luck and have to get up and walk over to your optical audio box and twiddle with it every 5 minutes :¬(
I have hearing problems and rely on headphones and not to have volume control is really annoying :¬( but they wont fix this

Ahaaaa, that might be ' it' , I have HDMI connected to the TV but also S-PDIF to the amplifier (which I dont use very often)

Will the volume control be gone also on the HDMI output as soon as the S-PDIF is plugged in?

the up down works on MKV/AC3 content when listening via HDMI but NOT S-PDIF :¬(

If you have both plugged in depending on what you chose the above happens

you can say output to ALL DEVICES and even then the above happens with the added extra you see the volume bar move up and down but it does not effect the volum on the S-PDIF

personaly I think this is so stupid and anoying but they wont do anything to help this is way over a year now
