I'm a Mac user, but guess what ? I did not buy a mac just to run Boxee on its a waste of money & a Mac. Your obviously made of it so a Boxee Box should be no problem. Oh but I forgot you think Boxee owe you something for giving you their software for nothing.

I love it when people know when they are wrong, can do nothing about it, cant lose face even on the net, try carry on a lost argument - no good can come of this.

I would like to say I'm sure you will be happy with what ever free media software you find on the net - but some how I think you will criticise them sooner or later because nothing seems good enough for you. Just accept that no one can take away the use you had (paid for by you testing it) lol. Time to move on!

HOWS THIS FOR YOU ? - CYA AND DON'T TRIP ON YOUR WAY OUT

    lol

It sounds like you should just tell the Boxee folks to just delete any forum not related to the Boxee Box. Since there is no point of even having them, right?

lol nice one. I don't have a problem with anyone running anything on their computer. I also think its a shame Boxee have pulled the plug, but its what I expected and its pointless moaning and groaning about it.

I always used XBMC from way back when, on the original Xbox when it was called Xbox Media Player. Went on to install it on my ATV1 with crystal HD. I always thought it was better then boxee's effort to be honest. Times have changed and now I think Boxee Box is awesome.

The free version we supported, bug fixed, donated to, etc. - ultimately making you marketable - was just too much of a competitor to the Boxee Box, eh? Leaving links up doesn't take away from your focus of anything -- it's a business move so stop insulting everyone's intelligence with your BS press release.

I hope you know that the rest of the world knows this BS so you at least get the black eye you deserve.

Yes, I've heard all the retorts that "it's free; move on". That's valid, but many of us have invested much in this community (I'm posting under a different name), in this software and certainly even, in the development of our HTPCs under this platform.

I do hope someone picks up this project, and in many ways, the silver lining here is my introduction to Plex. I'll be supporting those developers and that community. In fact, I'll be supporting anything that competes with you.

But before I leave Boxee, I just wanted to give you your just black eye for this BS you've pulled.
Have you tried the Dlink version. I find it pretty good - actually, better than the PC version. I mean it costs you at least $300 to build a HTPC vs $189 for Dlink box with good remote...
