Thanks for the update. I have noticed the Jira ticket for a problem I am eagerly waiting for has been marked as fixed. Erez Razin [Boxee] resolved BOXEE-12395 as Fixed, OSD settings : "Custom" option does not work anymore. This was one of my most favorite features of boxee. How long after it's marked as fixed in Jira does it take before a it's released in a firmware update? I can't wait to get it. Thank You.
It's usually indicated which release a fix is included in. The only fixes not in any release are those that are going into the next release (or a different/upcoming release based on the new kernel for the new Intel stuff they're probably working on, e.g. codenamed "Heidi 25").
In this particular case http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-12395, it says near the top of the page:
Heidi.1 is the codename for v1.5.1Resolution: Fixed
Fix Version/s: Client > Heidi.1
In answer to this question:Boxee typically doesn't announce release dates in advance.how long from resolved Jira to firmware release?

So far I like this update. I'm glad to see that they fixed the pop up problem that was going on. I just don't like that it's a global option as opposed to a site-by-site option. There are some sites that I would agree with the pop up and some others that I don't even want to see it. So now, I'm required to go into the settings on those sites and disable the option, to go back to the browser and start over on the browsing. But overall, it does work good and glad that on the sites I don't want it, I no longer have to be bothered by the darn pop up.
Also, has anyone noticed that you can no longer share your movies on the social networks or with boxee users. They have removed some of the icons from the OSD menu when watching movies. Which kinda sucks, I like sharing some of the movies I watch and recommend to others.
On another note, some people like to have the side menu bar on the left. I have to point out again that this side bar is a no go with people that have plasmas (Burn-ins are not good) and it would be very nice to have it hidden like the A-Z menu on the right. Not only would it be good for the plasmas but it's extra real-estate for more content to be displayed. Also, the hidden menus are not hard to find and even if it was hard to find the first time, once found it you know where it is.
Other than the little bugs that have been already mentioned, it's good to hear that everyone is finally starting to get happy again and not a lot of complaining going on![]()

This could just be me but... I still use the zoom feature. I have not upgraded to the latest beta (running 1.5.0.23616) but I hit the "z" button on the remote and I am able to cycle through a few different settings. This is on local MKV files. Just thought I would share what I do so that I do not have to watch 4:3 format videos with bars.
