What issue are you having with HBO GO? On the current release version (615) I've been able to watch HGO GO stuff just fine.

Amazon VOD on the otherhand doesn't work at all. Even using the Google TV link, I can get to where you can select a movie, but when you select it, it always says "Oops" and it can't get to the webpage.

Amazon wants to be a Netflix killer yet they seem to drag their feet when it comes to getting a workable client on many devices.

If Boxee would add Amazon on Demand and Hulu+ I'd be set.

With 99% of the movies there is no issue, if you named them the way they are named on the IMBD. Usually if it's not identified, it's because the sequel is called "moviename part II" and you named it "moviename 2". Some intelligence on that side during identification would be great, but at this stage, it works for me.

I do find that shows have an issue since the 1.5-FW; Boxee identifies the seasons the right way, but some episodes are not identified correctly. They are put in the right season and everything, they just lack the screenshot, title, etc. So for the average consumer, this shouldn't be an issue.

For me and many others, HBO Go is mess when you try to watch it in full screen.

Here is one of several threads on the issue.

I exchanged emails with Marcel a week or two about it and he said that there has been no change, but would try to get the fix pushed up the list.

That sucks about Amazon VOD. I tried it, again, with the Feb 1st bugfix Beta and it was a no go. As a Prime member, I would love to be able to watch the free movies on my TV via Boxee Box. I also asked Marcel about Amazon and he did mention to me in an email that Amazon has expressed interest in Boxee. He encouraged me to contact Amazon to request that they add support for the Boxee Box. I did, and received their usual "we don't currently support it, but I've forwarded your request on to the Amazon Instant Video team".

I would also love Hulu+, but I am happy to use the regular free Hulu thanks to Bartsidee's repository.

Funny you should mention the identification "intelligence" part. I have had a jira ticket http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-12338 open for this problem for a little while. Hopefully we'll get some of these things resolved soon.

Interesting. I should try it on my other TV. Just last week I watched an episode of Luck without any issues. However that is on a TV that can only do 1080i.

I should try it on the TV that does 1080p and see if it has the issue.

Can't wait to try it out! I'm loving the faster updates, bug fixing, and communication! Awesome! Boxee got a big +1 in my books today.

Hey Marcel and Yuvalt, just read your post about Flash!

Boxee gets another +1 in my books!

Can't thank you enough for taking the time to write, it's nice to have an official reason and know what the situation is from an official source instead of hear-say-forum-speculations.

#$%@ Adobe, I'd be happy if Apple takes them down in their feud. I hope broadcasters quickly upgrade to HTML 5 so we can all move on. Photoshop is their only worthy contribution, but I wonder what Lindsay Lohan would've looked like without it though.

My only wish list items are: Scroll Wheel Support (Especially in Browser) http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-12195

    and Netflix Volume Issues:

Its more a case of UK content just not being on the tvdb and imdb than boxee not finding them

Hopefully the HD audio dropout issue will still be fixed in early Spring.
I wish NFS was an option for one of my drives. I have 2 WD My Live network drives which do support NFS, so that's not an issue. It's the 3rd drive, which is a USB drive connected directly to my router(Netgear), that is only capable of SMB.

I think that's the issue for many. They really don't have a choice.

Default smb file share is too problematic now

i Don't know what anyone else's experience is like, but i found 1.5.0.23643(1st February)) to be the most perfect release ever created, only thing i use boxee box for is streaming bd iso's and 1080p mkv's at very high bitrate through smb file share over ethernet. streaming ran with 0 buffereing for over 4 terabyes of stuff, on the new feb 7 release not 1 movie can play a minute without stuttering ? a weird video slowdown thing, or just buffering for a few seconds, I had to revert, but for everyone saying smb share isnt great, ITS PERFECT FOR ME on the feb 1st beta. i plan to stay on it forever. lol
