I have a lot of content on the boxee that just has a screengrab as the boxee can't find a cover, it happens a lot in the Uk sadly.

Boxee scanning is also not removing content that been deleted of the servers and it retains links to media that bean removed.

Alternatively the names could be removed altogether.

So removing the names under the artwork to me would clean up the screen with little impact. (but then again I am guessing that they are vital for some people with colour blindness etc. who can't rely upon the pictures).

Yes i think definitely remove the text from under the thumbs it looks so untidy especially when it doesnt fit the whole name under. not sure about removing text altogether thats why i suggested at bottom of the screen as there seems to be space there for a title to appear.

one thing i would dearly love is to have one thumb for a series of films ie lord of the rings, click on that thumb then go into another screen with all the lord of the rings a bit like tv shows.

folder.jpg works without any problems (at least on the old firmwares, haven't tried the latest yet).

I was thinking more of your average consumer that Boxee is going to be trying to get to buy the box. They won't be wanting to mess with making covers and .NFO files. They just want to find their films, tv.

Having the options on the left clearly visible does help with the UI. Hiding them again would take us backwards towards to Pre 1.5 UI were it was all hidden in the extended pop-up menu and not very intuitive for the mass market.

I would vote for keeping the left hand menu.

By the way, its not just about people having the intelligence to find functionality, I personally enjoy having the left hand menu to remind me of the functionality. e.g. I tend to watch local TV show content as the norm, but since 1.5 was released I have been reminded more of the online content by seeing the "Shows Library" (I believe this is what its called) option on the menu. Prior to 1.5, I would never view online shows via the UI, always via APPs. So a definite improvement in my mind.

How often is the left side menu actually utilized? I rarely use it.

Do the majority of boxee users have learning deficiencies that they are unable to understand a hidden side menu after it has been discovered? It took me a few minutes to find the hidden alphabet menu, but now I know it is there and how to access it. It is not a difficult concept.

Personally I do not need constant reminders about features that I use rarely.

I'm guessing that the whatever changes have been made to the browser still don't fix the HBO Go issue?

What about Amazon Instant Video? Are we able to watch Amazon VOD via the browser again?

They must have throttled my account for too much bandwidth being used in a short time period.
    Sorry about that.

I have a bunch of the Windows Media showcase files and movie trailers that people seem to be downloading every day and I guess that, along with the Boxee Fimwares add up to alot of bandwidth for my "unlimited" bandwidth account, so they throttle me for a few hours when alot is downloaded in short period.
I plan on trying a new host soon so hopefully they won't be worse.
