Yea it is a weird sound, my AVR reports the sound to be multi-channel, not Stereo or Dolby.

Well the recording is very different, I could guess a lot, but it wouldn't help you. To my knowledge the avc (advanced video codec) and aac (advanced audio codec) is supported.
You could try the following 3 things.
1: Check if you can record under other profiles on your denver.
2: Download a transport stream repair tool, the bbox shows you clip lenght to be 11 hours.
3: Report the error on Boxee issue tracker website - http://jira.boxee.tv/secure/Dashboard.jspa
