Default No/Bad sound on DR HD channel.

As a brand new owner of a Boxee (2012-02-06) I was exciting to see, if the box was able to show my received files from a Denver DMB-113CI.
It is ts-files, and it showed them with subtitles, but..... the sound was missing.
Instead there was some sound-tickels in about 1 secound intervals.
I guess the reason is that the danish channels on air - all are in mpeg4, since january 11 - and the also the sound is new.

I can show the files on my pc with the Boxee program without any problems - sound, subtitles and picture is ok.

However, I also have a Western Digital WD TV live, and it can show files files ok with picture and sound, but no subtitles for ts-files untill now.

Now I wonder, if the Boxee box has a hardware error - or it IS the software.

Another thing - I also own a Denver DMC-109 box for dvb-c channels, and I have dbc-channels also.
Al those channels are ok shown on Boxee, but the DR HD channel there has the same sound problem as with the Denver DMC-113CI.

I have updated the Boxee software - tryed to reset the box - nothing is changed.

    What can I do now?

If you are interested, I have taken 2 clips (on with DR HD and another with TV2 HD) and uploaded them to my dropbox public folder.
I can perhaps give some information about the codec shown in VLC-player, if needed.

    Hope somebody can help me.

    best regards from

Did a test on this sample, both sound codecs played without errors, AC3 and MP2. Using this connect path: Boxee Box -> Denon AVR-1911 -> TV

Yea it is a weird sound, my AVR reports the sound to be multi-channel, not Stereo or Dolby.

Text view from mediainfo, the data below is from your file.

Well the recording is very different, I could guess a lot, but it wouldn't help you. To my knowledge the avc (advanced video codec) and aac (advanced audio codec) is supported.

You could try the following 3 things.
1: Check if you can record under other profiles on your denver.
2: Download a transport stream repair tool, the bbox shows you clip lenght to be 11 hours.
3: Report the error on Boxee issue tracker website - http://jira.boxee.tv/secure/Dashboard.jspa

    Held og lykke med det

    Default Bad sound on Boxee

    Thanks for the answer.
I can change the format output on the Denver.
    I will try that.
I the meantime I found out that DR HD is the onliest channel with sound
problems from my Denver DCB-109HD (dvb-c), so I will awoid recording from
    that channel.
And I will forget my Denver DMB-113CI - it is not good to use for recording files to show in Boxee any more.

    Have a nice day :-)
