Default Audio cuts out from AVI file

I am a unique user. I am strictly using this box as a media player via the SD card slot. I am using a class 10 SDHC card.

background:I have a combination of large High Definition pro video files that play perfect from the SD card and Standard Definition files.

problem: the Standard Definition files which are standard Microsoft .AVI DV(25MB) type of file loses the audio and it never comes back. It is not specific to an error of the file -- since I can stop > rewind > play -- and then hear the audio again IN a spot I previously didn't hear audio.
It seems after a certain amount of time the audio just gets cut off.
FYI the video image plays fine.

I suspect many of you never use Boxee like this, but can someone else confirm a similar issue?

PS I have thrown many different types of videos files that, my video editor spits out, and it has played everything as I expected - except this AVI hiccup.

I have the same problem. I have a bunch of avi files that I have gotten off of tapes from an older Sony mini 8 video camera. Just like you the clip plays fine for a bit then looses audio and the video image seems to slow down. I am hopeful that the firm ware fix in the pipeline may fix this as I saw this in the fix list:

Video too slow, sound normal, playback unwatchable; AVI MSMPEG4 Video with mp3 Audio

    Lets hope.
