Distorted Sound!

With the latest update every second or third time I play a movie the sound is distorted, last version had the same bug, but I was able to fix it with setting up the Audio settings to "All Sources", but right now, if I do that, I don't get sound at all!!!!

What's going on Boxee team, do you even test your device and software?!?

This was the same problem a lot of us were complaining about since OCTOBER.

The latest update gives us a shiny new interface... and the same crippling sound problem.

I really, really like my Boxee, but this problem with the sound getting distorted after playing local media files is intolerable. It is just a matter of time before peoples sound system or neighbours give up.

I see that the bug has been fixed according to JIRA

but according to users how tried the newest firmware it is still an issue.

This is a critical bug that needs a hotfix ASAP!

Even though it is listed as fixed, I have something that might be an additional insight. When the distorted sound starts I can force the normal volume back by turning down the volume one click. If I turn it two clicks down it is distorted again. Three clicks = normal (but now three clicks lower) etc. To summarize the distortion only occurs when the volume is set on an even click, but normal on uneven clicks. This is really, really wierd.

Can anyone from the Boxee team confirm that the bug has in fact been identified and is this going to be released anytime soon?

I've had the sound issue too although only in the last update or maybe two ago. It happens in the menus for me or when I play something locally. I have found for the local playing, I just close it and get back into the movie or show and it works fine.
