Not surprising since the word you want to translate is subtitles. "subs" is ambiguous at best and at worst, strictly does mean submarine.

Not at all. Feel free to start your own thread about whatever you want or join in the other dozens of complaint threads.

But this thread seemed rather on-point at the start and has now just turned into a whining session that's not helping anyone. There's no sense in a sticky thread for that purpose.

It's only adding to the problem you've already pointed out, that any new user/customer has to sort through thousands of rather useless and uninformative posts just to find the few important ones.

It helps the developers to find out if this issue is important or less so.

This is not what I meant.
Point was that user isn't supposed to do that at all.

What helps the developers is when people vote and watch Jira tickets.

In this particular case JIRA ticket is already closed and the issue is "fixed", while, in fact, Boxee Box owners are still not happy about it, cause they have no idea how long they are supposed to wait till said fix is released.

Boxee has a beta testing button for beta testers but no nightly build. I would rather boxee have a button for updating firmware or not. They dont take user code as this was a big suggestion about the remote codes for harmony. One user did all this work and was even willing to do more and boxee just laughed in his face saying our remote is fine we are not interested in making it better with IR remotes.

Seriously: if Boxee would take their users more seriously, they would give us a choice to

    - install major updates only
    - install nightly builds (same as for XBMC)
    - allow users to contribute to fixes in the source code (and the testing of bespoke fixes ...)

Just stating that in general, the "developers" probably are not on the forums as - I hope - they are too busy getting tickets resolved.
