Default Boxee 1.5 - Weather Application

    Hi,

Last night I upgrade all 3 of my Boxee Boxes to the new official 1.5 firmware and love the new more professional looking UI.

However I have a question on the weather application.

On the positive side, the temperature and clouds are displayed perfectly at the top of the screen compared to the previous release.

However... on all 3 of my 1.5 Boxees, I can no longer select the Temperature information and click to open the Accuweather application.

Of course I can open the Accuweather application by going into the settings and selecting Weather under Location. Or going via Apps.

    My question is:

Is the removal of the ability to select weather from the home screen (and pop up menu) a deliberate change, or a bug?

I really liked the old behaviour where weather could be accessed very quickly, and just don't know what the intention is.

    Thanks,

    ...Peter

When I open Accuweather, I get stuck in a loop where it can't find my city, and then it sends me to the Setup page in Boxee to add my city, but then never lets me add my weather location and goes in a cycle.

Same issue with running into loop. I am in Virgnia and cannot get weather app to work at all. Can never find a city for me.

I also am having the "loop" issue described above.

Boxee staff - please come up with a fix!!! While I really like the interface of the new update, but the weather has not worked right for me in the past two updates and I really miss it!

It's been reported in JIRA (but only viewable to EA testers at the moment)
