SlingPlayer on Boxee missing from apps

I used to be able to access the SlingPlayer app on my Boxee box (Iomega TV). The app has now disappeared. Anybody know how I can get it back? Is this because I am using the Boxee box in Switzerland?

Where were you, when you had access to Sling player app ? If the Sling box is being sold in Switzerland then the app should be available there, if that's the case then you should open a support ticket on support.boxee.tv regarding this as well as speak to Sling box support in Switzerland

My setup was Slingbox Pro-HD in Canada and SlingPlayer on Boxee Box in Switzerland. I posted my problem on the Slingbox for connected devices forum but did not get any reply.

Most likely it's restricted to stream in one region only i.e. you can stream in Canada only with your Slingbox connected to a Canadian ip I've never used it myself and the source of that info is from Dell.ca Slingbox Pro HD customer review which says the following "...Second, your devices are restricted to the region you are located. I can't select a device from the States since I live in Canada. It seams to check your IP. This is silly."

I am waiting to hear back from Boxee and Sling. I can access my SlingBox in Canada from my iPhone and computers here in Switzerland. I think that my problem is with possible regionalizationation of the SlingPlayer app.

Great then restricted region is not the issue I hope they'll make Slingplayer app available everywhere same as Spotify regardless of location !!

I find it peculiar that nobody from Boxee or Sling has addressed my problem. Curiously, Spotify also doesn't show up in my list of apps.

Please send an e mail to marcel@boxee.tv describing your problem Also please upgrade your BB to latest Beta 1.5 firmware, which might do a trick !!

I have been told by support that this is a Boxee issue that should be fixed in the next few days. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I bought my first SlingBox in the USA, but I currently live in Norway
They still send me email from Sling Media, USA, where I got the news that the Slingplayer for Boxee box and Smart TVs are available. However, they are ONLY (or have only) been available) for North American customers.

Before I bought my Boxee-box (yesterday), I contacted D-Link to ask them about the availability of SlingPlayer for Boxee box. The reply that was forwarded me in English, in reply to my Norwegian request, suggested that the SlingPlayer App should be available, worldwide.

I am not able to get the app, myself, and have tried to use proxies in the US, without any luck.
