    Angry Need Help! Deleted Files!

    Massively need some help here, I have recently got my boxee box and updated to version 1.2.2.20482. Everything was going fine until I turned it on today to find video files in several different locations on my external hard drive connected (via usb) to the box.
    I had been watching one of the deleted files before I switched the Boxee box off, it had only been off for around 30mins during which the hard drive had not been touched and when I turned it back on probably over 20gb of videos have been deleted. When I plugged the drive into my laptop all I can see is that the files had been modified today. The deleted files seem random, varying names, locations, and some I had recently watched, some I had not touched.

    What has happened!?!?! Can anyone help?? Can I get the files back?

    The Box cannot delete files.

    It sounds as though the drive may be dying.

    Default Some help?

    Try using File Scavenger.
    My iomega-tv with boxee seems to have "erased" my 1Tb external hdd
    I left it in the Boxee over night and the next day All movie were gone except 3 empty folders. Nothing left when I inserted it in my laptop hoping it was due to a bug in the boxee-system.
    I managed to recover 80 of 280 files with File Scavenger. It seems to me though that no movies over 2gb (hd) could be saved. Better than nothing at all...
