I suggested to a friend that he download and try the software before buy a Boxee. The mouse doesn't work very well with the new Boxee software and the remote app causes it to crash. Without a good input device to control the boxee software....this version isn't very usable

The software version is no longer supported and yes, the final release was pretty sucky.
I generally recommend folks get their Boxee Box from a retailer with a good return policy (2-4 weeks is pretty typical) and try it out.

New to Boxee, but every time I try to open my app on my iPhone to remote control the interface the Mac app crashes and will not run unless I close the iPhone app entirely. Any suggestions?
