Boxee Box not scanning

OK I just got a d-link boxee box and I have all my media files on a netgear duo nas and it can see them fine. I can play them going to the files directly but when I tell it to scan them it never starts. I even tried pointing it at a dir with only one movie in it but it never scans. It always says pending and I never get any other feedback. I can reach the files on the nas via UPnP or windows file system just fine. Already reset the box to defaults and same thing. Anyone have any ideas?

I have a DLINK DNS-323 NAS and haven't come across this.

I have the root of the NAS shared out and I added the folder sources as SMB on the Boxee Box.
I created an account on the NAS and allowed read/write for that account and gave the root SMB "Volume_1 access with the account I created.

One other thing I did was give the Boxee Box and NAS static IP's. This helped if either devices IP's changed and Boxee couldn't find the NAS folders I'd added.

I've actually never seen the "Pending" status before.
