Default Any Video Playback: Browser Closed Unexpectedly

Just installed Boxee (1.5) for the first time on a Win7 64 system - I got some error about there not being Flash and I'd need to go to boxee.tv/flash for more info - which is a dead link.

Any web video I try to play shows a black screen and "Browser closed unexpectedly, please try again". Even trying to launch the browser throws that error.

I've tried installing the ActiveX version of Flash, Firefox, and the standalone version of Flash (typically only have Chrome and IE installed), also uninstalled all Flash and only installed the standalone version - still no luck.

    What am I missing?

Thanks for any guidance you folk can give!

I fixed the crashing part with this DirectX installer from this post:
    http://forums.boxee.tv/showpost.php?...71&postcount=2

Still can't get it to go full screen though

I'm having the same issue. I just downloaded the latest installer from the boxee site, boxee-1.5.0.23267-f830a32.exe and I'm trying to run it on Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

Any time I try to load the browser, I'm receiving the "browser closed unexpectedly, please try again later" message.

Not sure if this is pertinent info, but this is the most interesting thing I found in my log:

    Default same issue here

Clean install, Win7 64 bit, keeps telling me I need to install a Flash player but it's already installed, latest one. Can't play any web content, it either hangs or repeats the claim about needing Flash.

It's been well over a week since the first post, can't someone respond?

I'm still going back and forth with support. Mainly data gathering. I think we've tried all the combinations of Flash installer. I dont believe I've installed any DirectX manually, though my understand is Win7 comes with DX10? I'm going to hunt around and see if I can find some other DX installs (as per the earlier posts)
