Boxee 1.5 & Fall Software Update

Thanks, I had tried searching, but wasn't having luck. I overlooked the stickies (and I was angry at the time)

I have decided this one time to install the latest "beta" and see if that solves the issues, but the next lockup will be a factory reset/downgrade, and blocking the update URLs at my router. I have no desire to turn into a beta tester for something I paid full retail for. The Boxee box fits my needs perfect, even if there could be some additional changes (aka addition of Amazon VOD, and Hulu/Hulu+), a quicker to update/integrate Adobe Flash release schedule. But it needs to act like any other set top box. (aka no lockups)

What I don't understand is the large variance in success with these updates. Its not like PC software where its being installed on a large number of various hardware components. This is a standardized box, its like Apple vs. Android. Its easy (or should be) to get everything right or at least 99% right when your working with your own hardware.

But again, thanks for pointing me in the right direction... Hopefully the latest nightly/beta will stop the lock ups.

something need to be done with the web browser the experience is simply horrible: slow, flash support is lacking at best, navigation is a pain and more...

maby add an multiply tabb option that supports to (max 10-20 tabbs)

That list is referring to the desktop version. Per the post, it's is no longer supported nor can it be downloaded from Boxee so there is no link.
