Default Netflix on Boxee for Windows

I just put together a Boxee system using a laptop. It has a clean install of Vista Home Basic, and a clean download and install of Boxee. Everything on it seems to work fine except for Netflix. I have the Boxee app tied to my Netflix account, but it will not show any of my Instant Queue, or Suggestions or anything. I have Windows firewall turned off, and all internet security turned off or down as low as it will go, but Netflix still will not populate any of the lists. To test this further, I installed Boxee on my main system, on the same network, but running Windows 7 Pro, and Netflix works and shows everything just fine. I have no special ports or permissions set up on my router for my main system, so I have to assume it's some kind of setting in Vista that's not allowing Netflix to work correctly on my Boxee system.

works on all my win vista units, so it's not the OS.

Be sure you have updated DirectX and installed the latest Flash Add-in for Fire Fox 32 bit (even on a 64bit system). Links in my signature for First Stop.

Oopps, forgot. Update Silverlight too, but that's usually done with Windows update automatically...

Flash, Silverlight and DX are all installed and updated and working properly. I can use Firefox or IE and go to the Netflix sight and watch movies just fine, just not in Boxee. Now one thing I noticed when testing Boxee on my main system is it asked me about installing a cookie, I said OK, and I'm pretty sure I said OK to that on the Boxee system as well, but I could be wrong. How could I reset that and force it ask me again?

Can you see your stuff on Netflix via IE on the Boxee system?

Well, working on FF and IE fine does not always mean anything. A lot of times people have that function and are running outdated DX and Flash and Silver......and boxee cannot work with the old versions. Hence, making sure you've updated to the latest and greatest. It's the trinity first step as it fixes 95% of all issues related to video and app functionality.

The cookie? No clue. Never had that come up in any system build myself.

Just be sure you've paired the PC to your NF account and enabled it on your Boxee.tv account. Also, I think you can run up to 3-4 PC's linked to your NF account. Log into your NF account and I think...think there's a way to remove old PC's to make room for new ones. Going on fumes here on that last bit.

    Otherwise, I've got no suggestion...

    Works fine in both browsers.

I seem to have fixed the problem. I ended up having to delete the existing user config folder (C:\Users\<windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\BOXEE\userdata\), and forced Boxee to essentially start from scratch. Netflix asked about the cookie (see attached picture), I said ok and it's working now.

Thanks for all your guys help.
