Weird Video Playback

I downloaded the vista version of boxee and I love it. It plays internet video very well, but the videos on my hard drive are a different story. I could try to explain what it looks like but instead i'll just post a screen shot and maybe someone can tell me what's wrong. All the shows are divx encoded, however i had a similar effect when trying to play a movie i downloaded from itunes (although i expected that one not to work).

Otherwise I'm really happy, thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer

I'm having the exact same problem with avi playback, and a similar problem with DVD playback. The video plays clearly in the upper left 25% of the screen, but is ghosting at full size over the rest of the screen. Menu areas are "active" in the screwed up full screen area.
