    Hey all,

boxee ipad app - "error loading data, please try again later"

Any thoughts as to what is causing this? Media manager installed and running, port opened. The app see my pc, however when I select my pc, it fails.

    Any help would be great.

Can anyone assist with this? I am having exactly the same problem.

Media Manager is up and running on my PC, and the Boxee iPad app is detecting my computer, but i'm getting this message 'error loading data, please try again later' when I select my PC in the app.

    Cheers

Count me in as having the same issue.

BMM on the iPad sees my NAS server. After clicking on it, I just get the spinning blue circle, and eventually "iPad app error loading data, please try again later"

I am also having the same problem.
At first I could see all of the media folders and files on My Media. Yesterday, I tried to watch a video and it became stuck on the loading circle for 10 minutes, and I gave up.
Now, My Media shows my PC, but when I choose any of the folders, it says "error loading data...please try again later."

I then restarted Boxee Media Manager, my iPad2 and the Boxee app. It seemed to have fixed it. I was able to browse my folders in My Media again. Then, I chose a video to watch, and it got stuck on the loading circle again. I tried to choose another video and received the "error loading" message again.

The videos I was trying to watch are standard definition videos purchased in iTunes. I have tried a file on my PC's hard drive and one on a USB-attached EHD.

I read some posts about having folders with the same name being a problem. I have a folder called TV Shows in my iTunes directory and one called TV Shows on my EHD. I am going to try renaming one of the folders to see if that does anything.

Edit: I removed one of the duplicate TV Shows folders from Boxee Media Manager, and I was able to browse my media again. However, it has been 8 minutes since I hit the play arrow for a video file, and the loading circle is still spinning. I guess I will be syncing after all.

I may be the only one absent minded enough to overlook this for an hour, but I was having the same issue and I found it stemmed from having PeerBlock running on my HTPC.

I followed the instructions and cannot even get the Media Manager to install properly. During the installation process I get the following two messages:

    - Exception E Out of Memory in module SpCapBTN.dll at 0000529D

    - Runtime Error 204 at 01EA417D

I've downloaded the software twice and installed twice with the same result.

I managed to get an initial Media Manager screen, but upon exiting, I cannot get it up again. Clicking on the desktop icon doesn't bring anything up.

So, unfortunately, this Boxee feature doesn't work for me either.

In my case the error was solved by removing extra IP-adresses assigned to my PC. I had for lab purposes assigned 3 different IP's (on different subnets) and it seems as the wrong one was reported through the Bonjour service.

Download Discovery (search for Bonjour) from Appstore and you can verify what IP's beeing reported.
