no sound at all with ubuntu 8.04

Hi everybody!

I have Boxee installed in a Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 box, everything went fine until I deleted guisettings.xml in order to restore the original settings. Previously Boxee played sounds with no problem.

I tried configuring it at settings but it doesn't seems to do anything, sound plays perfectly outside Boxee with other applications (including XBMC!!)

Any idea??? Thanks in advance

Are you using Boxee with HDMI out?

If so, go into your settings and change output to hdmi (simply type it in). Alternatively, you can try to set as "default". Hope this helps.
