    Default Can't open in Vista.

Downloaded and installed the Alpha-release just this morning after getting my e-mail and link! I could hardly wait!

I installed on my Dell Inspiron E1505 running Vista Business - SP1

    My specs:
    Intel Core2 T7200 @ 2.00GHz
    2GB ram
    Vista Business, SP1; 32-bit

When I clicked the icon, I got the dreaded "Windows has closed this program and will notify you of any solutions...."

I rebooted and tried again. Same thing.

    Unhappy Same Issue

First, thanks so much for the invite.

Downloaded the app this morning. First download failed.

A subsequent attempt got me a successful download.

I clicked the "Open Boxee" tick box from the last of the set-up screens. The app failed to load as indicated above. I tried again from the Start Menu. Same result.

Default Got it working in Vista...

When I tried to open it up in Vista all I had was a blank screen. Using the arrow buttons would create 'sounds' but nothing showed up.

I set Boxee to run as administrator (although I don't think that did anything).

I then changed my appearance settings to "Aero" and that did the trick.

    Default Same Problem

Received download about an hour ago, install worked fine. It was supposed to open after install, but I just got a black screen with the bottom panel showing the time and an User Info button. Can't click anything. My mouse doesn't show up, occasionally it will show a shadow. But other than it not starting up, the download worked fine. I thought the problem was that it was opening in full screen mode. I tried to change it but then it just wouldn't open. Currently changed back and problem still persists.

    My INFO:

    Vaio VGN-NR140E Series
    Intle Pentium Dual Core
    32bit Operating system
    2.00GB RAM

Thanks for the download by the way.

It's suppose to be run as an Administrator...either right click the boxee ican and select "Run As Administrator" or disable UAC and you should all be fine.

I am in the same boat as you guys...except i get an error immediately after running the program, as administrator or not. Says Boxee has stopped working and my screen stays white for a bit. I have windows vista ultimate 32bit.
