Slow video on Acer Revo 3610
I recently bought an Acer Revo 3610 (a.k.a. Acer Aspire R3610), and I've only been able to get very choppy video out of Boxee. I've seen other people on the forums with similar problems---some able to fix them, some not. Seems like most people have no problems whatsoever with the Revo. Anyway, all the suggestions I've tried haven't worked, so I'm hoping somebody can help me if I describe my problems specifically.
I started with a fresh install of Windows 7, so there's NO bloatware from Acer...just Windows and the necessary drivers (all updated). I installed the latest Firefox along with the latest Flash. 720p video plays back flawlessly in Windows Media Player (1080 not so much). Online Flash through a browser is...acceptable I guess. What surprised me is that the same content played with XBMC plays back almost perfectly. So, right now I'm just using XBMC, but I'd rather have Boxee working properly. It's a lot more user-friendly, seems less buggy, and it's just...nicer.
I should mention that I'm only trying to stream online flash content. I tried to test some local files a few times, but they keep coming up as unidentifiable. If somebody can point me to some files that Boxee can play, I'd be happy to test them out.
