So, it seems I should have Guide, Zoom and Aspect options at the bottom of my slingplayer screen similar to the windows slingplayer but all I have is Quality, Sources and Disconnect. Does anyone else have the same issue?

Default Slingplayer breaks up here and there

I have a commercial switch with both Boxee and my SlingBox HD plugged in. Here and there I get a few skipped frames and incredible breakup. I am attributing this to Boxee and not the SlingBox as whenever I use it on my iPad, iPhone or computer it works fine. Any ideas?

I was having the same connection issue as some of the other users on here where I can watch my Slingbox ProHD in Best/HD remotely on everything but the Boxee. The quality on Boxee had to be good with a bitrate that wildly varied between 150-1200. I found that by re setting up internet watching through the slingbox support page my bitrate jumped to a stable above 4000 instantly. I didn't change any of my settings just re comfirmed everything. So try that if you are having remote connection issues with only the Boxee device.

    didn't work for me.

I get around 7000kbps on the web and program for windows with no skips or stutters. With the slingbox app on boxee it's unwatchable.
it's a shame because my main reason for boxee was slingbox and mkvs and it doesn't do either of them well. The mkv;s are okay for the most part
but I'm having issues with DTS-HD skipping and the audio dropping out which seems to be a common thing.

I tried the Slingbox app on the Boxee Box this past weekend for the first time. I had used a HAva HD for the last 3.5 years but this past weekend I got a SLingbox 350 for the higher quality streaming it has. It worked very well through the Boxee Box. I had no issues streaming. I'll need to try it at my GFs house the next time I visit. She only has a 1.25Mb/s DSL connection so I'm curious if it will work there.
    Boxee Box 1, 2 & 3(Boxee+ v1.4.6), PCs(v1.5.0.23596) Boxee TV(v2.1.0.7781)
    Server 1: HP MSS WHS (56TB) (NFS/SMB)
    Server 2: unRAID1 (32TB) (NFS/SMB)
    Server 3: unRAID2 (29TB) (SMB)
Server 4: TiVo Desktop (6TB RAID 5) (SMB)
    NAS 1: Intel SS4200-E (4TB RAID 5) (NFS/SMB)
    NAS 2: Dlink DNS-321 (1TB RAID 1) (SMB)

Default Does the Slingplayer app work on Boxee?

I wondered if any users of Boxee and the Slingplayer App could comment on how well it works? I have a 4.1Mbps connection and viewing a stream on Slingbox.com I cannot fault it.

However, I have tried with a competitor streaming box and the Slingplayer app on there constantly freezes and disconnects. It will only stream for more than a few minutes on the lowest quality setting.

Has anybody got any advice as to whether the Boxee works as it should?

    Much appreciated!

    Ben

Hi - thanks for that.... what connection speeds do you use the Boxee with? I get approximately 4.1Mbps.
