We need Amazon Video. Seems like every TV and Blu-ray player has an Amazon VOD app, but not Boxee. This seems like it's an intentional licensing issue. Are hulu and amazon pissed at Boxee?

    Get this done already.

Just ordered a Boxee from Amazon Prime... Kind of ironic that I won't be able to watch Amazon Prime on without the aid of an external box.

Still looking forward to playing with one of these boxees. Been a long time since I looked at Boxee.

In all honesty - I had been requesting an Amazon Instant app ever since the Boxee Browser lost the ability to play them via Amazon.com

As an Amazon Prime member, I wanted to be able to enjoy the free content that come with it. I have never cared to to watch anything on my computer, so I had never even really browsed through Amazon's selection of available titles to Prime members, until recently.

Now that the PS3 has an Amazon app (which also directly influenced me to replace my aging Blu-ray player in my bedroom with a newer Sony model that has Apps - including Netflix and Amazon), I have finally been able to use Amazon's service and I must say that I am incredibly underwhelmed by what they have to offer.

Besides a handful of television shows and movies that are exclusive to Amazon's streaming service (I am talking strictly about what is available to Prime members), 95% of the content overlaps with Netflix. 50% of it is not in HD on Amazon, but is on Netflix.

Yes, it still nice to have more choices, but to those who have been waiting for an Amazon app specifically because you are a Prime member... If you already have Netlfix, you really aren't missing out on much.

No idea why Amazon would be pissed at Boxee...

    Yikes....

Hulu support can be jiggered by using the bartsidee repo, BUT lacking amazon vod killed it for me.

I nearly dropped $250 on a boxee box and live tv tuner today and when I saw this I had to kill it. Guess I'll have to keep waiting for boxee to offer some serious options. I love the interface, I love the social aspect, but it's got some MAJOR content lacking. Official Hulu support and Amazon VoD are long overdue and if Boxee isn't to blame it's only hurting it's market share by keeping quiet about it. This device will struggle until those issues are worked out.
