I mentioned this on another thread. Why not use multiple streamers to alleviate the issues. From a family aspect, your going to need more than boxee if you really want access to everything cable gives you. AppleTV is the only way to legally obtain Disney programming. My wife uses Roku for Hulu and AoD, and I use boxee to watch history/spike/fx shows. Even purchasing all three streamers I only spent 370, less then I was spending for 3 months of directv service. The equipment pays for itself quickly.

With the amount I'd have to spend on Vudu, I might as well have kept Comcast. =|
Totally agree. VUDU is way too expensive.

Just to compare, lets say that I keep my current uVerse subscription because I need to watch the next season of the Walking Dead (that show is awsome). I could give 2 sh**s about everything else.

It is WAY cheaper to watch the 6 episode season through Vudu (3.99 per episode) $23.94 - vs two months of my tv bill - $160.

Alternativly, I could buy the next season is a year on BR for probably $20.

I'll take my chances with Vudu and netflix and pay for what I want to see vs paying for ~ 150 channels that I do not want.

Valid point, but this is a very rare case where a person or family only watches 1 show. In your situation, you are better off with canceling cable.

Agreed. Only reason I keep Netflix is because boxee doesn't support amazon video

+1 on Amazon Prime VOD application needed...

Stop wasting time on the live TV crud, fix outstanding issues, and add this application!

Add my signature to this one. I'm a poor college student and so the half off amazon prime price is about the best I can get for a streaming service right now. So many internet connected TVs are coming with amazon VOD loaded on them already, I don't see why it's been so long without it on the Boxee box.

We just have to accept that Amazon and Hulu can't care less about Boxee.
