    Default Error while downloading install_flash_player.exe

I've been trying to install Boxee for Windows on my Windows 7 operated laptop but near the end of the download I get a Boxee Setup error window that says, "Error while downloading install_flash_player.exe."

Clicking Ok on the error allows the install to complete but if I try to play a TV show that requires flash I get the provider screen (i.e. Global, Comedy Network etc.) telling me that I need flash.

Even if I install flash directly from Adobe (either before of after the Boxee install), I'm still not able to watch these programs through Boxee. I am however able to go to the provider website (i.e. Comedy Network) and watch the tv show from there directly.

Right after the install, if I open Boxee I get a message saying that the Flash plugin is not found (even if I've installed it manually myself).

I've added screen shots of the error described above. PLEASE HELP!!

Boxee is useless to me otherwise

Worked for me too. Wonder if there is a way to detect and use Chrome since it starts with Flash enabled?

Boxee will work fine with or without IE.

The issue is that Boxee needs the flash plugin for the Mozilla web rendering engine. The easiest way to get that flash plug in is to follow the instructions posted: install Firefox (which also uses the Mozilla web rendering engine) and install the flash plugin for Firefox.

I have the Mozilla Flash Add-In links in the First STop link in my sig. Be sure to browse to the adobe site using Fire Fox so it detects it and prompts to install the Add-in. If you do it with IE it will install the ActiveX, which will not work and enable flash to play in Boxee.

I already have Firefox as the default and still getting the error. Just did a fresh win 7 install and according to flash settings in control panel I have all the latest versions. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

It's not clear but you may be able to ignore the message. If you run into any Flash videos that won't play, then post again please
