Default BB hangs in almost every function and not playing any file from network storage

My BB is freezing in almost every page....when i access my files from my local network server (SMB) it refuses to play any of the media when it works fine on my other computers at home. I cannot even access the settings page...it just hangs there...even in the friends page..whenever i play a youtube video...the audio continues but the screen freezes at the page as it is?????? is this a software problem because I did not face this problem until the latest update

This all sounds like typical symptoms of a failed update procedure, resulting in your Boxee running code that was damaged during the failed install.

I advise you to download the same firmware as a separate "boxee.iso" file, and place that in the root directory of an otherwise empty FAT32 formatted USB memory stick. Then you can use the recovery menu of your Boxee Box to install that firmware properly. (Install from USB is much safer than install over network.)

After a successful install you may still need to reconfigure some things, such as the basic "Network" settings and its "SMB Client" settings.

    Best regards: Ronald
