Need to disable the Netflix button on new remote

I just bought a second boxee box and the remote now comes with a Netflix button in place of the pause button.
Is there a way to change that on the remote ?
I don't care for Netflix, the content in Canada sucks.

No pause button !! That sucks, the only way I see is either to open remote and put something under netflix button which will prevent it from being functional or put some crazy glue alongside netflix button

It really does suck; I never thought of opening it up and putting something under the button. I might just have to do that.

You have 2 options basically. Use an older pre-Netflix remote (you can find these on ebay, etc) - or, use the iphone remote. Any other option mentioned here will void your warranty on your remote at the very least. The netflix button addition is negligible due to the center button taking over that basic functionality. Not everyone has or had Netflix I agree so this is best left as it was.

If you buy the USB remote for a PC it will not have a netflix button (as boxee for pc does not have a netflix app) and it will work with your boxee. I have one with my Boxee Box and one with my htpc and either remote workes with either. Luckily I have two lacking the netflix button.

It will be resolved w/ 1.5 - there will be an option to set it back to Play/Pause !

I have been very frustrated by this too - however I just updated the firmware and there is an option in the settings menu where you can choose what you want the button to do, I saw "Default," "Netflix," and "Play/Pause." I am very glad this feature was added, because I need a pause button, not netflix.

It is nice that they give you the option to set it back to play/pause, but it would be even nicer if they gave us the option to set it to whatever app we want.

I would love to set it to Pandora since that is the #1 app that we use.

I agree, selecting what app you'd like to apply it too would be great
