Playback video jerky

Been using my Boxee now for a while, but any of my 720p AVI or MKV files are jerking quite badly, to the extent where they are not watchable.

Its not on all 720p films, but seems to be most of them.

Is this a known issue, anyone else have the issue? I love my Boxee box, but this just makes it unuseable..

avi with mpeg4 codecs? The problem you may have is "packet bitstream", its suppose to be fixed but i had this with a few of my files. Search Jira for "mpeg" or "packet bitstream" there is a post by a user for some app you can run to fix the avi's.

what firmware are you using?... and more info about the files.

Jebise, your a star! I did the search for "packed bitstream fix" and found the MPEG Modifier program as you suggest. I ran it against the affected files, selected the "Pack" option and then saved the file. It fixed all of the problems!
