iTunes film streaming issues

Hello,

Playing YouTube on my iPad or iPhone and stream it to my tv works great...but when I try this with films from iTunes or Voddler it does not work!?? Why? Any thoughts? Does I have to do with not having the latest Adobe flash on the box?

What does "does not work" mean precisely? Are you not seeing video? Which app on the iOS device are you using?

If you see the video, what are the symptoms of it "not working"?

Sounds like a drm issue to me for iTunes. Can't remember if they ever removed drm from any of their videos.

Could be wrong. Sometimes I have an issue when the boxee isn't already on when I turn my phone on, might help.

Well I use the new os5 and when I chose to watch with boxee on either device (iPad or iPhone's icon for watch on tv) the Boxee box starts to buffer/think by having its blue circle spinning. But after that nothing happens. No video or sound. With iTunes it just goes back to what ever page I was at and with voddler it gets black screen but nothing else.

You're right, it is a DRM issue. You cannot use AirPlay on DRM'd movies / tv shows from Apple / iTunes Store to the Boxee Box.

Ok, thanks! But if it is a DRM issue, why is it possible to view the films on a apple-tv for example? The DRM is for protecting it from being copied and not from being viewed, right?

Apple DRM means that Apple content can only be played on Apple devices or with Apple software.
