Default Problems playing back videos in Boxee for Win

My system is running Win7 x64. The video is the onboard Sandy Bridge video from an i5-2500K which is driving dual 23" monitors at a rez of 1920x1080. I have turned off HW acceleration in Boxee. My video files that I mention here were captured via SageTV.

The problem that I am having is video files will start playing and then after 3-15 seconds the file will stop playing and it will say loading and then it will appear to be buffering the file - not unlike when you try to watch a Youtube video on a slow internet connection.

This pretty much always happens on HD-MPEG2 files (captured from OTA) and .TS files captured from an HD-PVR connected to a cable STB. Sometimes SD MEPG2 files will play.

On some occasions, but not all, I will get an error that says some like Create file xbmc.r15885.dmp failed with error id 5. Windows will then close Boxee.

One other problem - I also am having deinterlacing problems as my files suffer from the comb effect.

Just real quick, does the same video problem happen if only one monitor is enabled? Is Boxee on the primary or secondary monitor? If the secondary, can you try it on the primary (with both enabled and then with only the primary enabled)?

For the other problem, are you playing 1080i files with Boxee in full screen mode or in windowed mode? There are definitely de-interlacing issues in windowed mode but they look fine on my 1080p 23" monitor when Boxee is in fullscreen mode.

Boxee only wants to maximize on Monitor 1 but trying to play in Windowed mode on either monitor gives the same problems.

Going down to one display doesn't help - I get the same errors with only monitor one and only monitor two.

I don't always get this error message but it looks like I am not the only one:

can you try deleting the userdata folder (or renaming it) and then starting up Boxee again? It's possible that there is a corrupt setting somewhere...
