Default Boxee Box Waking up when Shut Down

Just have a quick question, I typically keep my boxee just in sleep mode. But when I sometimes turn it off I was wondering if there is a way to wake on lan the boxee? Can I ping it somehow or how would I get it to power on? Right now I have it on wireless but I have another that is on Wired that I didn't try pinging or connecting to when it was shutdown.

What are my options if any?

    Much appreciated.

To power on the box from full shutdown mode there are only two options available:

1: Press the power button on the box itself.
2: Press the menu button on the Boxee remote control (button closest to logo).

So there is no way to do this over LAN...

If you want it remotely accessible at all times, you simply have to leave it turned on at all times.

    Best regards: Ronald

Any harm in just leaving it on (for those of you who do)?

Not that I know of. And I leave mine on most of the time.

I do sometimes have to turn it off and then on again, to restore SMB connections that it sometimes 'drops', and I also turn it off when rearranging hardware, such as moving its USB HDD to a PC or back again for/after content updates. (Much faster to do with that HDD connected to a PC than over SMB.)

But apart from that my Boxee Box is on 24/7...

    Best regards: Ronald
