streaming from windows 2008
i've been developing an app for boxee for streaming video content in HD. I'm almost done with everything but i run into a few issues with the content itself which i'd like to shere in case you already happened to solve them:
the content i'm streaming is mp4 h.264, 1920x1080, bitrafe almost 5Mbps and 24 frame per sec.
- Is anybody streaming HD content such mine?
I tried with http streaming but it used to take forever in order to start so i installed a streaming server for rtsp streaming but still the image is kinda flashing
- Does anybody use Windows 2008 R2 as streaming source? I tried to install WMS but i could no figure out how to stream mp4 without using smooth streaming (which points to the next question)
- Does anybody stream with dynamic bit-rate adaption? Does Boxee support smil files or does it work with Windows Smooth Streaming?
- Does Boxee support DRM content? What type of DRM?
thanks in advance,
