Quick question about iOS streaming support in Boxee Box

Can you stream from an iPhone to Boxee Box with the iOS support built in? I dont have an airport express however I can stream from iTunes on my PC to the Boxee Box no problem (accidently found this out and its awesome).

I've looked on a bunch of websites online and they're very vague. They say I pick a song or video on my iphone and just select the boxee box in the airplay menu, but I cant find that.

New to iphone, sorry

Yes. But sometimes they (the iOS device and the Boxee Box) don't "see" each other. I find that restarting the iPhone and/or the box does the trick.

Also you're looking for an icon near the player controls on the iPhone -- something like this:

Oh, last but not least, not all players (especially custom video players like ABC, etc) will do AirPlay.

Yeah, thats the icon, I dont see it anywhere, however I will reboot my phone and see if it helps.

edit: Still not there sadly, neither is that small mail looking icon in that picture you posted. Just the basic controls. I added home sharing in the phone also but that did nothing.

No app, which by the sounds of it could be my mistake. Just using the iphones built in music player.

No you should see it in the iPod player of the iPhone... Have you restarted both the iPhone and the Box?

I have, it hasnt done a thing. I must be missing something. Its the new iPhone 4s, with iOS 5. Could the new OS have something to do with it?

Just to double check, you've enable iOS streaming on the Boxee Box (Settings>>Network>>Servers)?

And you don't see the icon at all?

My iPad2 is running iOS 5 and in the music player, I get the little icon just fine...

Yeah, i enabled that today, and since then its been rebooted. I ticked the box, but it didnt do anything as a sign it worked. I also added my username and password for home sharing on my iphone but again it gave me no sign whether it had worked or not, it just accepted what I typed.

Am I supposed to get some kind of indication that home sharing has successfully been enabled?
