Boxee Not starting up
OK, I'm pretty much brand new to boxee, although I've used XBMC in the past.
When I install Boxee on to my system (Windows 7 64 bit, i5, radeon hd 6770) it won't start up. I get the splashscreen and then it just freezes. If I try to do anything I get "Boxee is not responding" and then I have to restart, it won't even let me end the task! I have no idea why this happens. If I try to use XBMC it doesn't even give me the splashscreen. I've googled this but no one seems to have had this problem.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Try disabling aero features to see if it still hangs up

Do you have dual graphic cards active? In my setup (a laptop) I have two active graphics card, one Intel (internal) and one nvidia (external). To get Boxee to start I have to deactivate the Nvidia card and reactivate it again.
/S
Edit: I also start it with administrator privileges.

I have the same problem on my asus notebook. Freezes at the black screen with the boxee logo. I have no clue, where to activate or deactivate any internal or external graphics... Any help? I would love to get boxee back to life.
