Lightbulb Video file recognition bug - probable cause

Boxee identifies 85% of my movies correctly.

    My directory structure
    • Movies\Movie Files
    • TV Shows\Series Name\Season ##\Episodes

    MyFile Naming Schema:
    • Movies: The_Title_of_Movie_(year).ext
    • TVShows: Show.Name.S##E##.Episode Title.ext

What I have noticed is that any movie in thetvdb that has a title with punctuation in it is not recognized e.g

    O brother, where art thou?
    Hellboy II: The golden army
    Wall-E
Land Before Time II: The Great Valley Adventure
    3:10 to yuma
    Borat: Cultural Learnings of America......
    Mr. & Mrs. Smith
    Star Wars: The Clone Wars

to reiterate this is in the database that boxee is using to lookup meta data, my files don't have the punctuation in their name e.g my file name for O Brother, Where Art Thou? is o_brother_where_art_thou_(2000).avi

Has any progress been made? The workaround is to manually identify the video but when you have many to do it's frustrating. It should be a trivial fix for the next release but will improve the boxee experience!

Are you using the Boxee Box or the Boxee software? Which videos are you having problems with exactly and how are they named?

I think this affects movies also. I had a similar problem using YAMMM to name my files with "Sort Titles". Ie, prefixes get moved to the end

"A Knights Tale" becomes "Knights Tale, A". Which the box doesnt recognize.
"The Road" becomes "Road, The". Etc.

Could be the same problem with the comma?
