Boxee on mac connecting to windows 7 samba

So I have a mac and im just trying to connect to my windows 7 shares... just as im doing on my actual Boxee units in the house. I have no passwords set I just scanned for sources on my units found my pc and picked my wanted shared directories... for some reason with the mac pc software I can see my computer but when i click it it asks for user name and password... my user account doesnt even have a password on my pc. Also i tried creating a account with a username and password even that would not work. Im at a loss as to what to do next. Your time and response is much appreciated.

What version of Mac OS X are you using? If Lion, you probably need to install a compatible version of SMB -- see this thread for more info: http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=38629
