Default DVB Boxee App for Live TV

Engadget says that DVB Logic has announced support for the Boxee Box in the form of a new Boxee Box app that "brings Live TV" to the Boxee Box.

Not familiar with their PC card and software, but it sounds interesting.

Check the Engadget story at http://www.engadget.com/2011/09/27/d...ng-to-the-box/

Default I"ve been trying to install the DVB stuff with Boxee on a single HTPC

I have spent the last few hours trying to get this going on my system, but am presently assuming 2 limitations on my setup.

    To quickly sum up:
I running win7mc x64 on a single HTPC with an ATI CableCARD tuner and Boxee running on the same system.

I've read the multiple pdf user guides for the 4 various pieces of DVB software. Basically 2 come with each download (sort of).
    One of their products has:
    1) DVBLink Server
    2) DVBLink TVTuner
    The other product has:
    3) DVB Network Server
    4) DVB Network Client

I've run into a few problems trying to get something working.
When I installed the '1' above, everything installed nicely.
When I installed the '2' above, everything installed nicely.
I then went to configure the '1' after installing '2' (as literature suggests) and it appears as though it will not recognize my ATI CableCARD tuner.

So, after reading the manuals and some forums over at DVBLogic, I'm guessing that this stuff will work greatly for TV tuner cards that are NTSC and/or ATSC stuff with analogue and/or digital tuners, as long as it isn't a CableCARD tuner?
(I have not tried any non CableCARD tuners as of yet, none at my home)

The additional insight/wonders I have is a result of attempting to install '3' and '4' on this HTPC and/or on other PCs in my LAN on the same network.

When you install '4' it tells you it can't install on the same pc as where '1' is installed. Ok, kind of makes sense since the product is kind of marketed and talked about in the manuals as 'serving' tv tuners incorporated into WMC to the local network, so that other PCs and Boxee and Win7 Phones, and iPhones can see it.

So, I'm under the impression I should install '3' on my HTPC, and then '4' on other PCs in my home for WMC purposes on those PCs, and '5' client stuff such as the Boxee client App or equivalent.

So, does this mean that there is no way possible for me to stream my CableCARD installed WMC setup to Boxee on the same HTPC. If something is acting as a server on a LAN, shouldn't the same PC be able to see that shared info?
Or, does it depend on some other server functionality/software aspects?
Aka, in some situations the same pc could see server stuff and in some situations it can't?

    Thanks for any feedback.

You'd be better off asking in the dvblogic forum: http://dvblogic.com/phpBB3/viewtopic...t=Boxee#p46368
