this functionality was disabled in more recent builds, as it does not meet team-boxee's quality standards.

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

I have one of those but I prefer the Logitech S510 Media remote which comes bundled with the Cordless Desktop and mouse, both of which have great range when sitting 8-15 feet back from the Boxee HTPC connected big screen. The optical mouse works especially well on sofa arms. Some of the S510's functions work as expected but I'd like to see some additions made to the settings menus to customize behavior/buttons a bit. Especially the skip back/forward functions which seem hard wired at 30 secs. But more importantly even with a mouse its impossible to advance the playback to a particular point dragging the playback progress slider around and you're reduced to clicking 30 second or 30 minute skips to try to approximate where you wanted to be in the movie/show. Take a look at the GOM player or even the horrible WMP for how we've gotten used to expecting direct playback access to work. If you can't give us a grabable slider then at least a keyboard entry of what time mark to skip to.

It might also help to have a brief "using your mouse" help page somewhere. Using right click to get BACK functionality wasn't intuitively obvious especially since it doesn't work if you happen to be positioned over an active button.

I'm on the latest and greatest Windows Boxee build running on WinXP sp3 in a Pentium D 3ghz 4gb environment. Not sure if I should be posting this in a sticky'd thread.

Thaniks for the cool product and keep up the good work.

Is there any way around this or some debug console or log where we can see if and what Boxee is indexing? Right now I'm just guessing it is based on my hard drives churning.

Here is a tool called ReNamer that is free and will save you a lot of time renaming files and episodes in the file name, real easy to use.

I just installed it. I'm running Windows XP Pro on an old 3.0 ghz P4 with 4gb ram (3gb recognized in XP). Runs pretty smoothly! Boxee is installed and indexing files from a SATA drive jumpered to 1.5gb/s (since my old mobo can't do the full 3.0gb/s). Every few days I refresh/update the source which is my torrent DL folder and it adds the movies pretty quickly. I'd say it finished the initial index of 115 movies in about 30 mins?

Boxee has switched over to using IMDB naming conventions now for TV Shows and Movies; am I right?
