    Default Home page button or shortcut

    From the home page it is quite easy using the tabs and sub-tabs to drill down into files and apps. The problem is getting back to the home page - I find it frustrating having to click 'back' on the remote many times to get back to home, or at least the home page with the tabs.
    Maybe a long click on the remote's menu page could bring us to the home page?
    Thanks.

    ++This.

    If nothing else, maybe an Alt/Shift combination with a key on the keyboard part of the remote? Please?

    This issue has been discussed in various other posts- mainly in relation to harmony remote mapping. Staff has shown a huge reluctance to due anything about this issue and shut down a ticket where a user offered to help. Glad to see someone else interested in this issue as I really want to see them do something about it.

    ...and I just don't get that. This is their bread and butter - this is the device that carries their brand name. There are some pretty fundamental quirks in the interface that can be fairly easily resolved (unlike, say, the keyboard - dark grey text on black? Good call.)

    Every patch that goes by seems to *worsen* the product. Not only are fairly simple interface issues not being resolved, the functionality of the device has, for me, worsened since I bought it - not as a result of the hardware, whose issues Boxee is so quick to deflect on to D-Link, but as a result of the code.

    I'm sure there are some oddities that they need to address, but what happened to re-adding volume control within videos? Why can I still not play videos continuously or shuffle them? If these won't be happening, are we not owed an explanation as to why such simple things, which are standard for virtually any media player, are not being addressed?

    To whit: Right now, the Boxee Box is on sellout.woot.com for a scant $120. Someone has already asked me, this morning, if they should buy it. I told them not to, *entirely due to the erratic and near-absent support for the device.*

    IIRC, with the Harmony the red button allows a shortcut to the HOME page...but the implementation is incomplete

    Pulled up Bruno's spreadsheet...see below for global commands.

    when they closed the ticket about "updating" the universal remote-mapping i truly saw how they just ignore their customers..

    i now have a universal remote that is more expensive (and more useful) than boxee box, but useless WITH the box.

    so im looking like crazy for a new mediaplayer that actually works with universal remotes

    (saying that universal remotes work with boxee (as the team said in the ticket) is fucking hilarious as i dont consider those few things it can do as working)

    it cant even be started with the remote! (so when turned off with the remote you have to go to the box and turn it on with the powerbutton on the box)

    Boxee Box (latest firmware) connected with HDMI to Onkyo TX-SR606 and HDMI to Mitsubishi HC1100 projector. 106" Grandview Large Flat Screen Series and ELAC Starlet 7.1. Everything controlled with Harmony 1100 and Harmony RF Wireless Extender. (+ Manta TR1 USB IR-Reciever for Boxee Box)

    Streaming wired thru D-Link DIR-655 (Hardware: A4/Firmware: 1.31EU) from server with Intel Pentium 4 Duo 3,4GHz and 4GB RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate on Seagate SATA-harddrives.
