    The easiest method is use an app like cyberduck using sftp protocol. Download and unpack boxee onto you mac. Open cyberduck (you will need the IP address of the ATV). Locate;

    ~/frontrow/applications/

    You will see a version of boxee already inside. Drag and drop the new boxee into this location, overwrite and thats it.

    I recommend you rm the old userdata folder first, and start over.

    ~/frontrow/library/applicationsupport/boxee

    delete boxee folder

    You need to be more specific than this. Did you have boxee installed already ?

    The typical atvusb install places the boxee app in;

    ~/frontrow/applications/

    if its not in there, the only other location at the root of your atv within

    /applications

    Its not accessible because you dont have the corrrect permissions. To change permissions you can do this within cyberduck (select the folder, get info, change permissions as you wish).

    You can make the whole atv read/write by command line by issuing the following;

    sudo mount -uw /
    sudo touch /.readwrite
    sudo sync

    or you can issue chmod command to the applications folder.

    This doesn't work for me, it just uploads and never stops!! Goes to 500% before I have to stop it.

    It's your sftp app that's not cooperating. I assume your using cyberduck. When you drag and drop it, it should prompt to overwrite (assuming one exists). You should be copying the boxee application.

    You got me why its copying multiple times. Delete the application support data and start over.

    Beyond that, you can copy/move via ssh which Id be happy to help with.

    I uploaded the boxee.app with cyberduck into AppleTV.local frontrow/aplications folder, but when I try to launch it it still gives me same error message : Cannot launch boxee.app from path...
