So i have my music and videos on my PC (Vista) upstairs and i have set it to share those files over my wifi that i then pick up on my MacBook from around the house.

If i select to play a film then it takes a full minute to start playing and around 5 seconds for music. Is there anyway that i can speed this up?

(Also how long does it usually take to index around 3000 songs? Iv had Boxee open for a day now and it has only found 100 artists)
